Role Summary The recruitment manager will provide student recruitment strategy advice (with strong focus on Under graduate market) to UKIBC Launchpad clients to enhance the value of UKIBC’s support in India, and to maintain extremely high levels of customer retention. The Manager’s input will help UKIBC win new business, especially from the UK Higher Education Sector. This role will account manage several key accounts and build strong, long-term relationships with UKIBC’s portfolio of clients in the Higher education sector. The role will inform and contribute to UKIBC’s thought leadership in the higher education sector. Core Focus Areas 1. Student Recruitment support and advisory (Undergraduate) for UK Universities 2. School Engagement - Strong school connects, counsellors network 3. UKIBC Counsellors Event – plan and deliver Annual UKIBC Event – Direct to Students 4. Academic Partnerships - Partnership (Indian Higher Education Institutions)5. Engagement - International Offices in UK and dedicated team within UKIBC 6. Project Management - Operations management exposure 7. Client management and team management Reporting to: This individual would be part of the Launchpad service offerings and will be reporting to the functional Director. Location : Gurgaon; UKIBC follows Hybrid work model Role & Responsibilities Key Responsibilities:
- Provide consulting advice to UK universities to help them create and/or refine their UG marketing strategy for student recruitment in India
- Work in collaboration with International Offices of UK Universities + respective dedicated team in India, to plan, sphere-head UG engagement as a value addition from UKIBC. This is in addition to university individual marketing strategy.
- Use Consortium approach for all Launchpad clients and represent them to relevant international schools pan India.
- Create and implement an annual Calendar of activities, related to UG engagement for UKIBC Launchpad clients.
- Plan and execute UKIBC Annual UG engagement event (around IC3) inviting school counsellors from Pan India.
- Support and advise clients on the implementation of these strategies, including with marketing campaigns, stakeholder-mapping, geographical and sector focus, connections to institutions and organizations involved in student recruitment in India such as schools and colleges and agencies etc.
- Support and monitor Budget management for UKIBC Launchpad university clients.
- Work seamlessly with Sales and the UK office of UKIBC to help them develop prospective leads into new contracts
- Lead and refine UKIBC’s campaign to improve the employability of graduates returning to India from studying at UK universities. This will include building connections with the HR leads in large employers in India, primarily but not exclusively UKIBC’s members, to support graduate recruitment or even summer internships.
- Contribute to UKIBC’s thought leadership in the Higher Education sector
- Account Manage a number of key relationships from the UK HE Sector. Have monthly catch-up calls with international offices.
- Deliver exemplary customer service and support line manager with client management.
- Maintain high level of connectedness to and knowledge of student recruitment trends in India
- Identify and develop UG opportunities to provide additional (paid) value to clients
- Provide strategic advice to the management of UKIBC about its approach to business acquisition and retention
- Provide strategic advisory to individual clients and UKIBC’s HE Sector Group on employability of graduates.
- At least 8-10 years of experience in international student recruitment, especially for UG student recruitment (non – negotiable)
- A comprehensive understanding and knowledge of the UK Higher Education sector (preferred)
- Strong relationship and connection with international school counsellors pan India (non-negotiable).
- Able to work collaboratively with diverse team and bigger teams (preferred).
- A proven track record of delivering results for clients – ideally, overseas universities (UK / US / Canada) in the international student recruitment sector in India (non-negotiable).
- Knowledge of the strategic and operational aspects of student recruitment in India
- An understanding of the Indian higher education sector (preferred)
- Experience of providing consulting support in the HE Sector (preferred)
- Experience of working with School Counsellors
- Experience of running marketing campaigns / events
- Business development / account management
- Strong technology / software skills – including salesforce or other CRM
- Experience of relationship building / account management (preferred).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills (preferred).
- Ability to think critically and assume responsibility and take initiative
- A creative, agile, pragmatic temperament
- Experience of institution-to-institution partnerships would be an advantage
