Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced and visionary Director of Data Engineering to lead our Data Engineering and Data Platform initiatives. This is a leadership role that combines strategic oversight with technical excellence to deliver robust, scalable, and innovative data solutions for enterprise clients across the globe. Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Leadership: Define and drive the vision, strategy, and execution roadmap for the Data Engineering function. Align data initiatives with business goals and client needs.
• Team Building & Leadership: Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing Data Engineering team. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
• Client Engagement: Collaborate with enterprise customers to understand their data engineering requirements, design custom solutions, and ensure successful project delivery.
• Architecture & Design: Architect and oversee the development of modern data platforms, including Data Lakes, Data Warehouses, and real-time analytics solutions using technologies like IBM Watson, Databricks, Vast Data, Apache Iceberg, Snowflake, Apache Hudi, Google BigQuery, Amazon Redshift, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Hadoop-based ecosystems.
• Project Management: Oversee multiple data engineering projects, ensuring on-time delivery and adherence to quality standards. Manage resources, budgets, and timelines effectively.
• Innovation & Optimization: Continuously explore emerging data technologies and methodologies to improve scalability, performance, and cost efficiency of data platforms.
• Governance & Compliance: Establish best practices for data governance, security, and compliance in line with global standards.

• Experience: 12+ years of experience in Data Engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing large-scale data platforms.
• Technical Expertise: Deep hands-on experience with Data Lake architecture and tools such as IBM Watson, Databricks, Vast Data, Apache Iceberg, Snowflake, Apache Hudi, Google BigQuery, Amazon Redshift, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Hadoop-based ecosystems.
• Leadership: Proven ability to lead and grow high-performing technical teams.
• Client-Focused: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with enterprise customers and cross-functional teams.
• Problem-Solving: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex technical challenges.
• Education: Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.
