Your New Organization The International Solar Alliance (ISA) is an international organization, co-founded by France and India. The ISA is a 122-member-country organization, headquartered in Gurgaon, National Capital Region of India. At ISA, we strive to transition and transform the energy sector from a fossil-based to a zero-carbon solar energy source. We are establishing a dedicated cooperation platform among solar-rich countries where the global community, including bilateral and multilateral organizations, corporations, industries, and other stakeholders, can positively contribute to the transition to solar energy. We are helping our Member States meet their energy needs in a safe, convenient, affordable, equitable, and sustainable manner. Your New Role: Reporting to the Policy Specialist, Knowledge Management & Institutional Development (KMID) or a designated officer, you will identify opportunities for development of Knowledge Products, keep track of the latest developments within the solar/RE sector and advise the ISA leadership to take proactive steps in the implementation a future-fit business-aligned organisation. Your Broader Scope of Work (including but not limited to) • Assist in development of various Knowledge Products in collaboration with other ISA units and support development of relevant documents like ToR, RFP, scope of the study, etc. • Conduct background research and participate in stakeholder consultations to assess the emerging needs of the Solar Ecosystem in terms of technology, market trends, financial instruments, etc. • Develop timelines for each product in terms of detailed methodology and coordinate all activities for completion of work as per the timelines • Support development of relevant capacity building programs for ISA member countries to accelerate Solar Deployment • Develop notes on potential implementation models for capacity building programs in various ISA MCs in collaboration with Regional Coordinators • Facilitate planning and execution of initiatives aligned with KMID Vision and Strategy to reach the target audience through appropriate channels • Track policy and structural changes in key markets and incorporate this knowledge in various KMID initiatives • Support dissemination of KMID initiatives through various channels (digital and traditional) • Prepare high-level summaries, presentations, reports, etc. • Support collaborations with other International organizations, private sector partners, think tanks, etc. to strengthen KMID work areas. Education • Advanced university degree (Master's degree or equivalent) in Energy Systems, RE Technology, Economics, Environment and Resource Management, International Relations, Public Policy, or a related field. • Certificates from the reputed organizations will have an added advantage. What you will need to succeed We really want to speak with professionals who have real world experience working in an agile and fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to quickly align priorities while working towards the long-term goals of the organization. Additionally, you should be able to clearly display: • At least 7 years of previous experience in a similar role or in RE System design, overall RE Sector preferably Solar, Project Development, Capacity Building, Market Trend Analysis, etc. • Experience working in international organizations /MDBs, / CSOs, etc. • Experience presenting technical data and mechanisms to a non-technical audience. Extensive experience developing knowledge products in renewable energy sector, preferably solar • Experience in contract management, internal database, partnerships, and stakeholder management. • Demonstrated skills in working in a fast-paced short-decision time-frame environment. • Demonstrated understanding of solar ecosystem, solar applications, and overall renewable energy sector. Languages & Basic IT skills • The role demands substantial writing and verbal communications skills. As English is the official and working language of the Organization, excellent command of both written and spoken English is required. • Knowledge of other languages (i.e., French, Spanish and Arabic) would be an advantage. • Excellent skills in Outlook, MS Office products, and experience with the various ERP systems required to manage this role is required.
