We Are Looking For We are looking for an experienced Senior Shift Lead in overseeing the shift operational activities at our data center. This includes managing electrical and mechanical systems, coordinating with customer support, and ensuring the safety and reliability of all facility operations. The shortlisted candidate needs to have proven experience in data center operations and strong understanding of high-end electrical and mechanical equipment. Job Responsibilities
- Oversee building systems and equipment, including substations, transformers, UPS, lifts, DG sets, chillers, air conditioning, BMS, fire services, and water/electricity supplies during your shift.
- Address customer requests and complaints, report to the management office, and liaise with vendors to resolve issues.
- Manage shift handovers, maintain logbooks and checklists, and ensure smooth communication between shifts.
- Ensure maintenance activities are conducted as scheduled, with a focus on safety standards. Develop and implement safety guidelines for electrical equipment and building facilities.
- Lead and manage the shift team, including BMS, Power, Infra, and HVAC personnel. Provide guidance and resolve shift-related issues.
- Respond to on-site breakdowns and emergencies, ensuring rapid response and minimal downtime. Implement corrective actions and escalate incidents as necessary.
- Work to optimize operations, ensuring energy efficiency, security, and overall data center maintenance. Prepare reports on operational metrics such as uptime and power consumption.
- Generate and submit daily/weekly/monthly reports for the Operations Manager and other stakeholders. Maintain accurate documentation on shared folders.
- Diploma/degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in data center infrastructure, operations, and maintenance.
- Must have experience in carrying out IST with hyperscale customers in data center.
- Familiar with various electrical, mechanical and IBMS equipment.
- Extensive knowledge in data center infrastructure design, construction/fit-out including mechanical, cooling, builder works and security system.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, vendors, and customers.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Certified Data Centre Professional (CDCP), Certified Data Centre Management Professional (CDCMP), or similar, are highly desirable.
