  1. Supervise, train and motivate Purchasing department employees
  2. Ensure that the department works closely with the Executive Chef and the Food & Beverage Director to purchase the highest quality products at the lowest prices
  3. Ensure that all purchase order requests are properly completed and approved
  4. Negotiate food prices, place required daily food orders and ensure prompt delivery
  5. Generate purchase orders on approval requisitions and obtain necessary authorization
  6. Obtain competitive price quotations and confirm purchase availabilities
  7. Provide the Financial Controller with a monthly summary of purchasing reports
  8. Coordinate regular inventories with storeroom personnel and department heads
  9. Coordinate capital project purchases with corporate purchasing and outside contractors
  10. Cultivate sound supplier relationships
  11. Conduct regular quality control audits to ensure staff are performing their duties according to standard guidelines
  12. Conduct food supplier premise checks with the Chef before registering the supplier as a vendor to ensure supplier compliance with Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) standards
Qualifications We are looking for a well-organized and creative candidate with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, who can display a “passion for perfection” and work in a dynamic environment. In addition, the candidate should possess:
  1. Diploma education
  2. Minimum 3 years of purchasing experience with at least 1 year at a supervisory level
  3. Excellent reading, writing and oral proficiency in English language
  4. Proficient in MS Excel, Word, & PowerPoint
