Westlakes Recruit is currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Design Manager (Highrise) to support the NEOM The Line project on a permanent basis in KSA. Job Purpose:

NEOM-The Line Programme : The NEOM-The Line programme is set to become the largest capital project globally, aiming to disrupt the "status-quo" by delivering meaningful change. NEOM will be recognized as a world leader in multiple areas. The programme consists of complex, multi-module packages, each with standard, unique, and bespoke scope aspects.
Marina Modules : The Marina modules represent a "showcase" window of the NEOM-The Line programme. Each module is a multi-discipline element of the overall project, encompassing both standard and bespoke aspects.
Role Overview : The Senior Design Manager will play a pivotal role within the Module Integration team, ensuring the vision is translated into an effective operational plan. The role involves leading design management for complex packages within the Marina modules, liaising with various teams to achieve key milestones and reduce risk exposure.
Responsibilities :
- Oversee design consultants in delivering design packages for the Marina modules.
- Ensure coordination between teams and consultants to resolve issues and move the design forward.
- Guarantee timely delivery of design packages to avoid delays in construction.
- Manage the interface between teams to resolve any construction design issues.
- Report design delivery progress, construction progress, issue resolutions, and BIM clash resolutions to the Module Delivery Team.
- Participate in multi-disciplinary coordination workshops across teams (EWP, NEOM UP, Proponent, Projects).
- Manage the design and project management teams to ensure efficient project delivery.
- Champion legacy knowledge transfer by mentoring designated Saudi nationals.

Reports to : Module Design Director (MDD) or Lead Design Director (LDD)

- SHEQ Teams
- Senior Project Managers
- Module Design Directors (MDD)
- Engineered Design Teams
- PMO, Commercial, and Enabling Works Teams
- Strategic Planning, Marina, and Spine Construction Teams

Role of Department: The Senior Design Manager is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of the Marina Modules, managing the schedule, cost, and quality from Design Stage 3A to handover, while assisting the Early Works Package (EWP) Team to manage design consultants delivering early work designs. Key Responsibilities:

Manage design consultants to ensure successful delivery of design packages for the Early Works Package (EWP).
Review design packages to ensure alignment with the scope of work (SOW) and implement a clear audit process.
Coordinate between teams to resolve design-related issues and ensure smooth progress.
Facilitate coordination between the EWP and Construction teams to resolve design issues identified during construction reviews.
Provide regular reporting to the Module Delivery Team regarding design progress, construction milestones, and issue resolutions.
Participate in coordination workshops between internal teams, including NEOM UP, Proponent, and Projects.
Lead line management duties for teams directly reporting to Senior Design Management.

Required Criteria: Key Skills:

22 years of experience in managing major design and build projects at a complex level.
Preferably a Chartered Structural/Civil Engineer and/or Project Management accreditation.
Strong coordination and project delivery experience.
Expertise in integration and package management through supply chains.
Proven experience in stakeholder and interface management.
Strong leadership and decision-making skills in high-pressure environments.
Expertise in data management, schedule processing, and multi-layered construction schedules.
Conflict management and team-building abilities.
Ability to manage cross-functional teams, ensuring clear direction and objectives.
