Regional Director, North Western Victoria Region Job posted: 31/01/2025 Contact: Sarah Barron | Reference: VG/DE/SRS/1842544 Occupation: Executive Management Salary Range: $290,601 - $419,000 Under the leadership of the Deputy Secretary, Schools and Regional Services, the Regional Director, North Western Victoria Region will work closely and collaboratively as part of a team to develop and implement government learning and development strategies; to design, broker and deliver high quality services that are responsive to local needs; and to monitor for and intervene in the face of provider failure. About the organisation The department leads the delivery of education and development services to children and young people both directly through government schools and indirectly through the regulation and funding of early childhood services and non-government schools. The Schools and Regional Services Group (SRS) is the face of the department across Victoria and leads the delivery, monitoring, evaluation and improvement of services at the regional level across schools and early childhood services. Successful outcomes for children and young people are at the centre of everything SRS does. About the role There are four regional leadership roles that report directly to the Deputy Secretary, Schools and Regional Services. Regional Directors each lead more than 500 staff and work closely and collaboratively as part of a team to develop and implement government learning and development strategies; to design, broker and deliver high quality services that are responsive to local needs; and to monitor for and intervene in the face of provider failure. Candidates are currently sought for the North Western Victoria role. About you Highly credible and well credentialed with direct experience in education settings, you are an acknowledged leader in reforming systems for the benefit of learners, families and communities. Your high-level people and operational leadership skills are complemented by a reputation for excellence in stakeholder engagement, the provision of impactful advice and effective communications. A problem solver and forward thinker with a passion for improving outcomes, your ability to inspire, to offer balanced judgement and leverage a collaborative approach are core to your success.
