The role of Technical Sales Specialist is responsible for selling SCIEX’s range of products and services that requires specialized knowledge and providing accurate monthly, quarterly and yearly forecasts for the Sales division. The incumbent is highly instrumental to help drive significant impact to the organization. Location: This position reports to the Sales Manager, Oceania and is part of the Commercial Sales Organization located in Australia. This position can be based in Sydney or Melbourne and will be fully remote. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: Manage the assigned sales territory. Initiate sales calls and respond to customers’ enquiries. Ascertain customers’ needs by providing technical advice and coordinate their needs in accordance to SCIEX’s product range. Create customer awareness, recommend product types and participate in product participations by working closely with cross-functional teams. Negotiate sales terms within the organizational policy guideline and achieve sales targets as assigned by the company. The essential requirements of the job include: Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Analytical Sciences and Life Sciences disciplines. At least 5 years of Sales experience in the relevant industry. Experience in Mass Spectrometers, LCMS, capital equipment, or other instrument sales. Demonstrate excellent product knowledge and sales skills with proven track records. Ability to understand user needs, technological developments, trends and competitive activities.
