Lead Software Engineer - PHP

Jeeny is Jordan's #1 ride hailing platform that eases daily commuting and transportation. We are a joint venture between MEIG (Middle East Internet Group) - Rocket Internet and IMENA. We have offices in Riyadh, Jeddah, Madinah, Dammam, Khobar, Amman, Lahore. Jeeny is growing its Backend team and looking for a self-driven Backend Team Lead who is excited to learn and improve his/her skillset in the evolving world of PHP. Duties & Responsibilities

1. Delivering across the entire backend development life cycle - understanding requirement, architecture, develop, deploy, test, release to the production and support.
2. Working closely with the cross functional teams to understand full-stack functionality and architecture.
3. Gathering requirements around functionality and translate those requirements into robust functional solutions.
4. Mentor team members to help them excel in their career goals.
5. Contributing ideas (technological and product) to enhance the overall app experience.
6. Optimizing performance for the backend APIs.
7. Staying abreast with technological updates and implementing technology improvements by utilizing blogs and forums.

Requirements Skills & Qualifications

1. Bachelors/Masters in Computer Sciences.
2. 8+ years of experience in backend development.
3. Minimum 4-5 years proven leadership experience.
4. Good to have an experience of working in a mobility service.
5. Strong knowledge of backend technologies, database, transaction management, micro services architecture, production engineering.
6. Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
