PLC Programmer / Automation Engineer

PLC Programmer / Automation Engineer. Our client develops and manufactures production and packaging equipment for industry. We have been retained to recruit a PLC Programmer / Automation Engineer. There is flexibility as to where the successful candidate might be living. In this role you will: Commission and test control programs for packaging machines at the company's plant in Germany and at the customer's site in Ireland Implementation and documentation of software tests for programs Create and edit HMI systems for machines Analyze problems and troubleshoot issues remotely or at customer site Carry out maintenance/ modification visits at customer site Requirements for this role: Degree in Electronic / Automation Engineering Relevant industrial experience in an automation role, ideally in the pharmaceutical/ medical device industry Good working knowledge of PLC programming, especially Schneider and Rockwell (Allen Bradley), Codesys, or other PLC systems Creativity and inventiveness in the solution of complex requirements Personal initiative and independent work High communication and teamwork skills Good written and spoken English language skills is required. .
