- Ensures reliable results as per NQMS/ Nestle Internal requirements and within five days turnaround time.
- Adds value to the analytical results through full understanding of the product in terms of food safety and regulatory compliance.
- Alerts Compliance Specialist (Co-Ordinator) of discrepancies/ out of norm situations
Technical - Analysis of samples: perform all fat, moisture (both rapid & oven), particle size, viscosity, effluent, sucrose, reducing sugars, viscosity, raw material analysis and proximate analysis as per Laboratory instructions and ensure correct result entry into SAP with respect to method used.
- Management of GLP, ICP, SOP: put ICP, SOP in place and update them when necessary. Maintain Good laboratory practices (GLP). Ensure safeties are in place at all times. Use control checks and monitor analytical method performance through Q-Stat to ensure quality of analytical results.
- Proficiency Testing: Participate in Nestlé “P” tests and other proficiency schemes.
- Maintenance of resources: keep track of resources (chemicals/ gases/ glassware/ instruments, consumables). Maintain equipment (services) and arrange for defects/faulty equipment to be repaired. Maintain records of repairs/calibrations/analytical method control.
What will make you successful? - Diploma/Degree in Chemistry, Microbiology or any science related qualification
- 3 years’ experience in a lab environment preferably within the Food Industry
- Knowledge of good manufacturing system
- Compliance and regulatory experience
- FMCG/Pharmaceutical background essential
