Job Description: Sr. Cloud Engineer – Client-Facing Role (24/7 Support) Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced Sr. Cloud Engineer to join our client-facing support team, providing 24/7 cloud infrastructure support. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud technologies, architecture, and best practices, and will be responsible for ensuring the uptime, security, and optimal performance of our client's cloud infrastructure. This is a shift-based role, with rotating shifts to provide continuous support to our client. As part of this team, you will collaborate closely with clients to resolve issues, implement solutions, and ensure the health of their cloud environment. Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Support: Act as a primary point of contact for the client, providing ongoing support and troubleshooting for cloud infrastructure and services.
  • Shift Coverage: Work in rotating shifts to ensure 24/7 coverage for the client, including after-hours and weekend support.
  • Cloud Infrastructure Management: Design, deploy, and manage cloud-based infrastructure for clients, using platforms such as [mention specific cloud platforms, e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud] .
  • Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution: Monitor system performance, quickly diagnose issues, and resolve technical problems to minimize downtime and impact on the client’s business.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Implement IaC principles to automate the provisioning, configuration, and scaling of client resources.
  • Security & Compliance: Ensure the client's cloud infrastructure follows best security practices, including identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and network security policies.
  • Disaster Recovery & Fault Tolerance: Ensure high availability and fault tolerance for critical systems, and implement disaster recovery strategies to safeguard client data.
  • Client Collaboration: Regularly communicate with client teams to understand their evolving requirements, propose solutions, and ensure that cloud services meet their business needs.
  • CI/CD Integration: Work with DevOps teams to integrate CI/CD pipelines and automate deployment processes for client applications.
  • Cost Optimization: Monitor cloud resource usage and recommend cost-efficient solutions to optimize the client’s cloud infrastructure.
  • Continuous Learning & Best Practices: Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud technologies, industry trends, and best practices to continually improve service delivery to clients.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Experience: 8 to 10 years of experience as a Cloud Engineer or in a similar client-facing role.
  • Cloud Platforms Expertise: Strong proficiency with cloud platforms such as AWS , with hands-on experience creating end-to-end pipelines for client cloud environments.
  • IaC Tools: Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation .
  • Security & Networking: In-depth understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and security principles, especially within cloud environments.
  • Containerization & Orchestration: Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker , Kubernetes ) and experience with securing containerized applications.
  • Scripting Skills: Strong ability to script in languages such as Python , Bash , or PowerShell , with experience in Linux environments.
  • Monitoring & Logging: Experience with monitoring tools such as CloudWatch, Prometheus, or ELK stack for system analysis and proactive troubleshooting.
  • Certifications: Relevant cloud certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect .
  • Client-Facing Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical client stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving & Incident Management: Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities, with a focus on resolving issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Microservices & Serverless Computing: Experience with microservices architectures and serverless computing.
  • Agile & DevOps: Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
  • Database Management: Experience with SQL, PostgreSQL, or other database systems in cloud environments.
  • Cloud Migrations: Experience in migrating on-premises applications to cloud environments.
  • Shift Work: Ability to work rotating shifts to ensure 24/7 coverage for client support, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Location: Pune, Maharashtra (Required to commute or relocate) Experience: 8+ years of total work experience (preferred) Shift Schedule: Rotating shifts for 24/7 client support (specific shifts to be discussed during the interview process).
