The ideal candidate will have expertise in development and support, specifically in AS400, COBOL, and DB2 environm ents. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting applications while handling support tickets effectiv ely. Key Responsibilities:

• Application Development: Design, develop, test, and deploy applications using AS400, COBOL, and DB2 technol ogies.
• Ticket Handling: Manage and resolve support tickets related to AS400 applications, ensuring quick and effective solu tions.
• Code Optimization: Optimize and maintain code for performance, scalability, and reliab ility.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex software issues, providing technical support and guidance to the team.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other developers, QA, and stakeholders to ensure project goals ar e met.
• Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation related to application development, changes, and support resolu tions.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and best practices in AS400, COBOL, and DB2 develo pment.

• Experience: Up to 12 years of experience in AS400, COBOL, and DB2 deve lopment.
• Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in AS400, COBOL programming, DB2 database management, and related techn ologies.
• Problem Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, especially in debugging and troubleshooting complex appli cations.
• Ticket Management: Experience in managing support tickets and providing timely, effective so lutions.
• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• Education: Bachelor"s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is pr eferred.

• Experience with RPG programming or other AS400-related tools and technologies.
• Familiarity with change management and version control systems in AS400 environments.
• Knowledge of best practices in software development and support.
