Responsibilities Build platforms, systems and services for internal and external teams to interact with the large scale production systems. Build tools and platforms to improve engineering productivity. Bring new ideas and technologies into our platform, innovate and iterate. Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies. Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Master’s degree (or Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of experience) in Computer Science or related engineering fields. 8 years of experience with one or more general purpose programming languages including: Java, Go or C++. 5 years of experience with software design and architecture. Experience working with the following: web application development, distributed and parallel systems, developing large software systems. Experience working in a complex, matrixed organization involving cross-functional, and/or cross-business projects. Familiarity with the full stack web development, including protocols and web server optimization techniques. Familiar with Unix/Linux operating systems. Familiar with commonly used database systems, such as MySQL, Redis, etc and message queue middleware, such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc. Good understanding of cloud and physical data center business and lifecycle management.
