JOB PURPOSE

The Basic Job of process operator is to run the Process line and equipment systematically and effectively. Achieving the production targets by increasing the line efficiency and minimizing the process waste. Gather hourly data of process control checks, conduct quality wall meetings, maintain hygiene and housekeeping. Alert on food safety hazards and highlight the issues to the Direct Managers.

POSITION IN ORGANISATION

Direct Manager: Relevant Production Category Manager Peers: Packing Machine Operator, Front Line Engineering Staff, Laboratory Technician Subordinates: Trimmers, Pick-outs, Grit Mixers

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

Make decisions based on the best possible utilisation to achieve maximum output in terms of yield conversion.
Repair and maintain the necessary processing equipment to maintain line efficiency.
Stop the production process in consultation with the Laboratory Technician if the production is out of specification.
Run the line systematically and efficiently.
Perform and report the hourly process control check.
Conduct quality wall meetings at the required intervals.
Ensure raw materials are available for the production run nearby the line.
Maintain hygienic conditions of the equipment.
Ensure equipment is in good working condition.
Achieve the required efficiency set by the business.
Achieve material efficiency target set by the business.
Highlight daily issues to Direct Managers.
Collect and report material wastages and summarize material usage daily.
Inform Engineering for equipment maintenance or repair through MP2.
Manage process workers under his line.
Maintain work station in good condition at all times.

Capability to run the line efficiently.
Highlight daily issues and line performance to Direct Managers.
Acquire adequate technical knowledge.
Achieve Basic efficiency target.
Achieve Seasoning efficiency target.
Achieve Oil Efficiency.
Achieve Labour efficiency.
Demonstrate teamwork.
Maintain food safety standards.
Achieve GMP & AIB goals.
Minimize incidents of product hold.
Maintain KPIs of cost, quality, service, and people.

Qualifications:

EXPERIENCE / COMPETENCIES REQUIRED

Should be at least an industrial training institute graduate (ITI).
Basic communication skills.
Good working attitude.
Able to handle and operate process equipment independently.
Must have a minimum of two years working experience in a manufacturing processing environment (waived in lieu of tertiary background).
