KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: Strategic: Matrix responsibilities:

  • Vertical Scope: Country-level partnership with country leadership and alignment of the L&D agenda with business objectives / implementation of local training initiatives and tracking in line with local requirements and global program designs / local training budget ownership and tracking.
  • Horizontal Scope: Organization-wide design of global capability programs in line with business need/ development of implementation strategy and tracking/ sponsoring internal trainers for owned programs
Operational:
  • Develop, implement, and continuously enhance talent development initiatives, ensuring alignment with the organization's strategic priorities.
  • Lead the design of programs that cater to the unique needs of various demographics, including senior executives, early-career professionals, and diverse talent groups (e.g., by gender, cultural background, or functional expertise).
  • Collaborate with department heads and HR Business Partners to identify skill gaps and tailor development paths that support cross-functional career progression and organizational growth.
  • Build and execute a strategic roadmap for leadership development that encompasses emerging leaders, middle managers, and executive pipelines.
  • Implement tailored mentorship and sponsorship initiatives that connect employees across career stages and organizational levels.
  • Introduce innovative learning solutions, including digital platforms and experiential learning, to address evolving business and market needs.
  • Designing local and global curriculums, courses, tools, learning maps, and other materials (including online or "e-learning")
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of talent development programs through feedback, data analysis, and impact assessment on business performance.
People:
  • Create tailored development programs that nurture individual potential, addressing the unique career aspirations and needs of employees across all levels.
  • Foster a culture of mentorship by connecting employees with leaders and peers who can guide their growth and career progression.
  • Design pathways for career growth that enable employees to navigate transitions, whether stepping into new roles, developing cross-functional skills, or preparing for leadership.
  • Inspire employees to embrace lifelong learning through engaging, accessible, and innovative learning solutions.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS: Academic and professional qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s/ Master’s Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Psychology/Behavior, or a related field.
Experience:
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in Learning & Development or related HR roles within an FMCG environment, including 5+ years of experience with a proven track record in designing and implementing development programs that cater to diverse demographics (e.g., gender, seniority, cultural backgrounds).
  • Proven experience in mentorship, leadership development , or coaching programs, particularly within a complex, matrixed, or global organization.
  • Hands-on experience with instructional design, data analytics, and digital learning tools to measure and enhance program effectiveness.

  • Advanced Strategic Planning: Demonstrated ability to design and execute long-term talent development strategies aligned with organizational goals and market trends.
  • Organizational Capability Building: Expertise in creating scalable, enterprise-wide training and development frameworks tailored to business needs.
  • Digital Transformation in Learning: Proficiency in leveraging emerging technologies and digital platforms to drive innovation in learning and development.
  • Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to influence and engage leadership through clear, impactful communication and presentations.
  • Complex Program Leadership: Strong capability to lead multi-layered, cross-functional development initiatives with clear business impact.
  • Integrated Talent Solutions: Mastery in linking talent development frameworks with broader HR systems, including performance management, succession planning, and organizational design.
