Job Description

Sales Management
  1. Achieve daily targeted number of sales calls with effectiveness
  2. Develop business leads for the Hotel on a weekly basis
  3. Prepare monthly list of accounts to penetrate for the following month
  4. Plan a minimum of 2 site inspections/entertainment meetings per week to qualified potential accounts or new accounts
  5. Prepare monthly action plan for main market segment
  6. Perform monthly review account profile on room nights production and average rate
  7. Monitor competitors’ rate strategy, account penetration and marketing activities to maintain a competitive edge
  8. Fully responsible for accounts under his/her management, including contracting, updating profile, and renewing contracts
  9. Update management on VIP arrivals, meet and greet accordingly
  10. Up-sell, cross-sell and promote Hotel facilities & services at every available opportunity in order to maximize sales revenue
  11. Conduct negotiations to achieve the best profit and rates for the Hotel
  12. Attend hotel clients and local community business events to network and maintain high visibility
  13. Update Director of Sales/ Director of Sales & Marketing on market trends and business leads
Team Management
  1. Interview, select and recruit direct reports
  2. Identify and develop team members with potential
  3. Conduct performance reviews with the team
  4. Constantly monitor team members’ appearance, attitude, and degree of professionalism
  5. Develop, conduct, and maintain all staff training programs for team members, focusing on their development needs, providing them with new skills to meet the changing needs of the business
Other Responsibilities
  1. Attend all briefings, meetings, and trainings as assigned by management
  2. Maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene at all times
  3. Be aware of the hotel fire & life safety/emergency procedures
  4. Perform other reasonable duties assigned by the Management

Qualifications

  1. Degree/Diploma in Tourism / Hospitality Management / Events Management
  2. Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar capacity
  3. Excellent reading, writing, and oral proficiency in English language
  4. Proficient in MS Excel, Word, & PowerPoint
