Job Overview: The Senior Accountant will play a critical role in managing the financial operations of our manufacturing unit in KSA. This position will focus on ensuring the integrity of accounting processes, compliance with financial regulations, and providing key financial insights to support business decisions. Reporting directly to the Divisional Financial Controller, the Senior Accountant will be involved in financial reporting, cost analysis, budgeting, and inventory management. Key Accountabilities:

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS and local KSA regulations.
  • Ensure the accuracy and timely completion of financial reporting and the month-end close process.
  • Cost Accounting & Inventory Management: Perform detailed cost accounting, analyzing production costs, material usage variances, and overhead allocation.
  • Manage and monitor inventory, conduct regular stock counts, and ensure accurate inventory reporting.
  • Compliance & Auditing: Ensure compliance with local tax laws (VAT, Zakat, etc.) and internal policies.
  • Coordinate with external auditors for the annual audit process and provide necessary documentation.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in preparing annual budgets, financial forecasts, and financial models.
  • Monitor actual results against budget and provide variance analysis.
  • ERP & Systems Management: Support the optimization of ERP systems for financial reporting and cost control.
  • Ensure data integrity across all finance and accounting functions.
Key Performance Areas (KPAs)
  • Accuracy of Financial Reporting: Timely and accurate financial statements, ensuring all reports adhere to international and local accounting standards.
  • Cost Efficiency & Analysis: Ability to identify cost-saving opportunities through detailed cost accounting and financial analysis of the manufacturing processes.
  • Inventory Accuracy: Maintain accurate inventory reporting and reduce discrepancies between physical stock and system records.
  • Compliance & Regulatory Adherence: Ensuring full compliance with KSA tax laws and regulations, with timely submission of required documentation (VAT, Zakat, etc.).
  • Audit Performance: Completion of external and internal audits with minimal findings or required adjustments.
  • Cash Flow Management: Effective monitoring and forecasting of cash flows to ensure optimal liquidity for operations.
Qualifications/Requirements Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
  • Professional certifications such as CPA, CMA, ACCA, or MBA equivalent is a MUST
  • SAP Experience is a MUST
Skills:
  • Strong understanding of IFRS and KSA financial regulations.
  • Proficient in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent communication skills in English (Arabic is an advantage).
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
  • Team player with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
