Direct message the job poster from Dubai Holding Job Purpose Director of Master Development will lead the master planning and architectural design, test fits of mixed use residential (single/multifamily) for all ongoing developments across the company and its verticals. Key Accountabilities:

  • Provide Urban Design Leadership throughout the entire lifecycle of master planning projects, from vision masterplan to final masterplan approval and further authority approvals.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders including the company/verticals/subsidiaries, consultants and authorities to understand project goals, functional requirements, and design constraints.
  • Provide Architectural Design Leadership throughout the entire lifecycle of projects, from concept design to construction and handover.
  • Lead multidisciplinary design consultants (Structural, MEP, Façade, VT, Landscape, etc.) to ensure delivery of design vision (concept) aligned with market requirements and management directions.
  • Apply deep understanding of design principles to develop innovative and functional design solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable codes, regulations and standards including safety, accessibility and environmental requirements.
  • Manage development from inception to completion in accordance with Management Approvals to ensure timely delivery within established parameters (primarily Time and Cost).
  • Make recommendations to the management on optimal and balanced solutions to problems arising during the development process.
  • Continuous monitoring of design and project deliverables, program and cost/budget.
  • Support in collaboration with Sales, leasing and legal departments in production of the head of terms for Sale Purchase Agreements.
  • Support in deciding on refined commercial strategy based on recommendations from commercial for product mix, phasing, etc.
  • Support in deciding on marketing strategy during preparation of Annual launch Calendar.
  • Propose and implement various initiatives to improve existing processes to achieve higher efficiency in Development BU operations.
  • Leading organizational sustainability goals and setting of policy and guidelines to ensure implementation across all developments.
  • Provide data and Cost inputs to feasibility team.
  • Review and process masterplan submission in line with authority requirements.
  • Ensure masterplan compliance with KPIs; target efficiencies and optimal land use distribution.
  • Coordinate masterplans with infrastructure, utilities, public realm, amenities and marine works.
  • Implement sustainability practices in-house as a core part of the master planning process.
Qualifications, Experiences, Skills Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge:
  • Bachelorโ€™s or masterโ€™s degree in real estate, land Economics, property valuations, Architecture, Engineering, Finance or engineering.
Minimum Experience (number of years):
  • Minimum 12+ years of development management experience in managing the development of large real estate assets (residential, commercial, retail, hospitality, etc).
Job Specific Skills:
  • Proficiency in architectural design software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp and Adobe creative suites.
  • Strong conceptual and design thinking abilities with a demonstrated portfolio of innovative and successful architectural projects.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both verbal and visual, to effectively convey complex design concepts to diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of sustainability principles and their applications in master planning and architectural design.
  • Familiarity with relevant building codes, regulations and industry standards related to residential buildings/villas.
  • Strong understanding of architectural design and construction.
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
