Our client delivers strategic communications advice to many of the world’s leading business and financial institutions often during critical stages in their development. Strengths lie in Capital Market Communications, Corporate Reputation, Crisis and Issues Management, Digital Communications, Internal Communications, Investor Relations, IPOs, Mergers and Acquisitions. As a result of a recent promotion, they are looking to hire an Associate Director – PR. Based in Abu Dhabi, the overall purpose of the Associate Director role is to lead and develop teams to deliver outstanding work to clients. Candidates would be required to:

  1. Plan and develop strategies for ongoing client accounts
  2. Provide senior leadership and management of the client relationship
  3. Contribute strategic insight into the handling of client communications issues/programmes
  4. Draft content to a high level in English
  5. Identify and develop opportunities for winning new client business and organically growing existing business
  6. Lead new business brainstorms and new business pitches; educate and inspire team members
  7. Initiate new business through networking and marketing activities
  8. Effectively manage workload and resources across multiple accounts
  9. Manage the team and ensure that they are effectively trained, developed, and motivated to deliver outstanding work for clients
  10. Support Directors in the hiring process by playing an active role in interviewing and selecting candidates
  11. Manage budgets, staffing, and servicing levels in order to ensure that profitability on accounts is maintained
Desired Skills & Experience
  1. Deep understanding of the business and ability to differentiate our competitive strengths and range of services
  2. Significant experience of providing strategic client counsel
  3. Excellent track record of effectively managing and retaining client relationships
  4. Strong presenter with a successful track record of pitching and winning new business
  5. Experienced people manager and proven ability in training and developing staff
  6. Sound financial management and budgeting skills
  7. Strong communication, negotiation, and influencing skills
  8. In-depth knowledge of the market sector and industry trends that you operate in
  9. Excellent media relations skills and established media contacts in the Middle East
  10. Ability to lead by example, command respect, and achieve results through others
