Feb 5, 2025, 8:59:00 PM About the role: Qatar Airways is pleased to announce an incredibly exciting opportunity to join our Flight Operations - Flight Deck Crew Recruitment & Selection team as FDC Recruitment Business Partner to be based in Doha, Qatar. As FDC Recruitment Business Partner, you will be responsible for the recruitment of pilots as per Qatar Airways operational requirements and standards. In this role, you will play a leading role in maintaining and overseeing the pilot recruitment & selection process, along with the Manager Flight Deck Crew Recruitment & Selection, as well as recommending & developing effective recruitment & selection initiatives to obtain highly qualified pilots. Specific responsibilities for the role include:
  • Assist in developing recruitment plans based on Manpower Planning requirements.
  • Explore and recommend new & effective practices for recruitment and selection to achieve Qatar Airways operational standards and requirements.
  • Support with developing evaluation methodology to compete in the global recruitment market, based on research and feedback from the recruitment & selection team.
  • Plan and manage all administrative processes and daily allocation of work assignments within the Department ensuring that these are carried out in a smooth, effective, cost-efficient, and timely manner in line with established budgets and procedures.
  • Accountable for ensuring Qatar Airways Manpower operational requirements with qualified pilots are met in a timely manner.
  • Work closely with Fleet Management and Training Management regarding quality and standards issues in order to proactively enhance the selection process.
  • Proactively support the department in resolving any barriers to successfully onboard candidates and maintain a positive candidate experience.
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining a database of potential flight deck crew members (recruitment pipeline) in order to meet any urgent/critical business requirements and demands.

  • Relevant College or University qualifications to a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Previous experience in recruitment, preferably volume recruitment.
  • Demonstrable clear track record of proactively sourcing a significant number of hires using market research techniques.
  • Ability to positively influence senior levels and develop valued relationships with Managers and Candidates alike.
  • Ability to demonstrate an in-depth understanding of the current Organization’s core business, organization, strategic direction, challenges, and aspirations.
  • Highly developed analytical and reporting skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
