Job Description

Job Purpose Drive the Emiratization Strategy for FAB. Responsible for the efficient and effective implementation and management of numerous aspects of the Emiratization strategy across the bank. Leads relationship on the Emiratization agenda across business areas with the help of the team and promotes mutually beneficial partnerships with employees and management. Participates with HRBPs in strategies and policies consistent with the direction of the departmental function head. Drives the Emiratization strategy across the bank and provides guidance to different GHR departments for Emiratization agenda. Holds Business Units & HRBPs accountable against the Emiratization agenda and integrates the delivery of the strategy through collective action. Sets, directs, evaluates, and monitors the recruitment program activities to ensure FAB meets its goals and objectives. Oversees the coordination of all aspects of the Emiratization strategy and governs the progress of all departments against KPIs. Intervenes when progress is at risk and agrees on corrective action. Reinforces the Emiratization agenda and strategy based on regulation requirements. The ambassador for Emiratization representing FAB to external Government entities. Key Accountabilities
  • Defines the long-term Emiratization Strategy and Agenda. Works closely with Group / Business Talent, Group / Business Reward and HR Business Partners to align the Emiratization Agenda with Corporate Human Capital Strategy and Business Specific People Strategies.
  • Monitors a portfolio of projects, initiatives and processes that impact the Emiratization Agenda and provides input to the definition of KPIs and desired outcomes which support and align with Emiratis in long-term goals and objectives.
Employee Engagement (EVP)
  • Supports and champions the Group Employee Engagement Agenda. Provides input and alignment to the Emiratization agenda.
  • Under the leadership of the Group, participates in bank-wide projects and initiatives within the Employee Engagement agenda and change management plan.
HR Processes
  • Participates in the design of the processes and regularly provides feedback on the effectiveness.
Resourcing
  • Works with the Resourcing team to drive the recruitment agenda for UAE Nationals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Human Resources, Psychology, or any similar discipline.
  • HR related certification is a plus.
  • 8+ years relevant experience in the banking sector with at least 3 years in similar positions of progressively increasing managerial responsibilities in the Employee Relation field.
