Job title: SEN Teacher Location: Ashley Park School, Walton on Thames, KT12 1LE Salary: up to £45,000 per annum (FTE) Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday Contract: Permanent; Term Time only UK Applicants only. This role does not offer sponsorship. As part of our continued growth, we are looking for an outstanding SEN Teacher to join the Ashley Park School team. About the role As SEN Teacher, you will take a creative approach to teaching pupils according to their educational needs, ensuring delivery of the school curriculum in a way that maximises pupils’ achievement and ability to develop. Purpose of Job- To secure high quality teaching, effective use of resources and improve standards of learning and achievement for all pupils in consultation with the Headteacher/ Senior Lead for curriculum and learning.
- To teach a range of skills and techniques as necessary to ensure the effective delivery of the school’s curriculum.
- Support the development of the provision that has a whole school impact.
- Strategies that relate to the education and personal development of SEN pupils including effective behaviour management techniques and opportunities to praise and reward.
- Implementing a school’s vision, aims, priorities, targets, curriculum policies and action plans in relation to classroom practise.
- Statutory curriculum requirements and the requirements for assessment, recording and reporting of pupils’ attainment and progress.
- The characteristics of high-quality teaching and learning as well as strategies to improve and sustain high standards of teaching and learning leading to achievement for all pupils.
- The implications of the code of practice of special educational needs for teaching and learning.
