Interconnection Maintenance Manager

Responsibilities

1. Lead the Operations & Maintenance (O&M) aspects of the Interconnection Facility (IF) for Utility-Scale Solar projects.
2. Design and implement an effective maintenance plan on medium and high voltage systems as well as related power quality/telecontrol/telemetering/ICT system.
3. Present O&M perspective in reviewing relay protection scheme and control design during construction and operation phase.
4. Serve as an expert on transmission-related market design and regulatory issues, monitor key developments, and provide recommendations in these areas.
5. Setup and lead a technical team consisting of engineers and chargemen to respond to electrical breakdown at Interconnection Facility (IF) while ensuring compliance with Service Level Agreement.
6. Communicate effectively with authorities, engineering consultants, competent persons, contractors, vendors, and clients during project phases and service warranty periods.
7. Develop maintenance procedures related to 6.6kV up to 132kV equipment while ensuring compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment legislation.
8. Review project technical information and installation quality prior to Defect Liability Period and service warranty.
9. Verify all the maintenance outcomes performed by technicians and contractors. Ensure that the countermeasures applied are in accordance with the standards, procedures, and specifications allowed.
10. Gather information on design failure, installations quality, or materials quality issues, and provide constructive feedback to the Project Management team for future improvements.

1. Possess at least 7 years of working experience in the development or operation of Interconnection Facility (IF) up to 132kV.
2. Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, or
3. Certified competent person by Suruhanjaya Tenaga in 33kV or 132kV discipline.
4. Expert in protection co-ordination studies and configuration of major relay brands approved by TNB for Utility-Scale Solar Interconnection Facility.
5. Experience with commissioning SAT/FAT activities including secondary injection test.
6. Experience in secondary and primary designs of medium and high voltage equipment, including protection, metering, automation, power quality, and ICT.
7. Excellent analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
8. Customer-oriented, independent, and good interpersonal skills.
9. Good communication skills, and excellent verbal and written proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
10. Able to work on weekends and public holidays if required.
11. Possess a valid driving license D, and able to travel to remote areas.
