Python Developer / Data Scientist

Job Summary We are seeking a talented and experienced Python Developer with strong expertise in machine learning to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in software development, extensive experience with Python, and a proven track record in developing and deploying machine learning models. You will work collaboratively with our data science and engineering teams to build scalable machine learning solutions that drive our business forward. Responsibilities:

1. Manage various sets of data and prepare them for analytics solutions.
2. Analyze client data to determine cleaning, pre-processing, and applying the most suitable AI solutions.
3. Harmonize data and build robust pipelines for data processing.
4. Apply Machine Learning algorithms to client-specific projects.
5. Maintain analytics pipeline in collaboration with the Data Engineer team.
6. Address client queries related to the platform.
7. Support the team throughout the entire project lifecycle.
8. Actively participate in customer meetings to review project status alongside senior team members.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or STEM fields.
2. 2+ years of relevant experience in Data Science, Analytics, or Data Management.
3. Passion for Data Science, including Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, and Operations Research.
4. Strong knowledge of Machine Learning methods.
5. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
6. Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
7. Proficient in programming, with extensive experience in Python and SQL.
8. Knowledge of the CPG/FMCG industry is a plus.
9. Strong proficiency in Python programming with experience in data analysis libraries (e.g. NumPy, Pandas, Matplotlib) and familiarity with data manipulation techniques. (Must)
10. In-depth knowledge of machine learning algorithms (e.g. supervised learning - linear regression, random forests, support vector machines, unsupervised learning - k-means clustering, principal component analysis, deep learning - convolutional neural networks, recurrent neural networks). (Must)
11. Experience with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS Sage Maker, GCP AI Platform, Azure Machine Learning) for model training and deployment (a plus).
12. Experience with version control systems (Git) and familiarity with continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
13. Experience with database technologies (SQL and NoSQL) for data storage and retrieval (a plus).
14. Working knowledge of Linux operating systems and familiarity with the command line.
