Associate Director, Strategy – Performance Consulting
Dublin The Role As an Associate Director in the Strategy team, you will encourage, inspire and motivate the team, providing strong career development for all the people they work with, acting as a proactive coach and mentor. You will manage overall client engagements, actively driving growth and new revenue from existing clients and through new business lead generation/winning new tenders/briefs. You will act as an expert in the practice offerings / approaches with the ability to provide direct advice to clients and colleagues whilst building a strong network of relationships internally with colleagues across Teneo, and externally with relevant clients / stakeholders. You will actively undertake thought leadership, consistently seeking new insights, knowledge and expertise, sharing these with clients and colleagues to create a knowledge sharing environment. Key Responsibilities Client Engagement- Manages overall client engagements throughout project lifecycle and becomes the lead contact for many clients
- Acts as a trusted senior adviser, building strong and deep client relationships at all levels of the client’s organisation
- Undertakes effective programme and project management and planning providing clear and digestible updates, timelines and projections
- Is a strong team manager and has demonstrated the ability to oversee complex projects by setting priorities and providing clear delegation and timelines
- Understands how and when to bring senior colleagues in to enhance work and keep them informed of potential issues
- Interprets clients' needs anticipating issues or conflicts and proposing solutions to the team/client
- Thought Leadership, undertaking research and analysis to problem solve, developing insights and providing recommendations
- Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills
- Has strong in-person and online presentation skills and is a confident and clear presenter
- Is capable of building an approach and ideating on solutions working both individually and as part of a team to deliver project work
- Is a self-starter who can drive own engagements and initiatives with minimal input
- As a Talent Manager ensures appraisals and PDPs are completed and that development plans are regularly reviewed, identifying clear opportunities for personal growth and progression
- Makes a demonstrable effort to foster good working relationships with peers across the business and uses these relationships to grow the consulting practice
- Undertakes weekly and monthly status updates and spotlight presentations to the group and to the wider firm
- Focuses team on regularly reviewing learnings and continuous improvement
- Is an ambassador for Teneo by confidently representing all parts of the business and expertise
- Finds opportunities to introduce the full range of Teneo services and expertise to existing clients and new contacts
- Proactively thinks of new ways to take our offer into the market and encourages peers and teams to do likewise
- Actively networks to identify new business opportunities and develop the consultancy’s reputation with potential clients and prospects
- Assists in the compiling, reviewing, editing and submission of tenders, letters of engagement, proposals and other key deliverables under the Business Development remit
- Makes demonstrable effort to foster good working relationships with peers in other areas of the firm and use these to create a better understanding of different parts of the business and our wider offer
- 5+ years’ experience in Management Consulting/client facing experience
- Previous experience in Strategy work including but not limited to organisation & operating model design and implementation, strategic roadmaps and planning
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
- High attention to detail and ability to manage information with complete discretion and confidentiality
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Team and resource management experience
- Previous experience in performance leadership & culture change
- Previous experience working with Senior Leadership Teams and the C-suite
- Skills in particular tools or software for researching, designing and completing analysis desirable
