We provide infrastructure solutions for the telecoms and renewable sectors in Ireland and UK. In April 2022, Obelisk was acquired by Visabeira, a Portuguese telecommunications and energy service provider with a turnover in the region of €1bn per annum, operating across mainland Europe and in the US. The Talent Acquisition Lead will optimise the recruitment processes to attract top talent to Obelisk. This role requires a proactive individual who can manage full-cycle recruiting, develop strong relationships with hiring managers, and support the building of a skilled workforce to support company growth. The ideal candidate has telecoms or similar services industry experience and is adept at managing relationships, crafting job descriptions and developing the compensation and benefits to the recruitment process. Key Responsibilities

  1. Talent Acquisition & Execution: Develop and execute recruitment objectives. Oversee the end-to-end recruitment process, including sourcing, interviewing, assessment, and onboarding. Implement data-driven recruitment practices to improve hiring efficiency and quality.
  2. Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and define role requirements. Serve as recruitment advisor to leadership on recruitment trends, workforce planning, and talent acquisition best practices. Manage relationships with external recruitment agencies and other partners.
  3. Job Description Creation: Collaborate with hiring managers and the HR team to create accurate, engaging, and compliant job descriptions that align with Obelisk’s goals. Ensure job descriptions are current, reflecting the competencies and skills necessary for success in evolving industries.
  4. Compensation & Benefits Integration: Leverage knowledge of compensation and benefits to attract high-calibre candidates and maintain competitive offer packages. Work closely with the People team to ensure consistency in compensation practices and adherence to industry standards.
  5. Team Collaboration: Evaluate team performance and implement improvements to enhance overall efficiency. Work with the various departments across the company bringing collaborative solutions to the challenges of reorganization and change.
  6. Training & Development: Provide training to hiring managers on best practices for interviewing, candidate assessment, and engagement. Organise and conduct onboarding training sessions to ensure seamless integration of new hires. Stay updated on recruitment industry trends, sharing insights and training resources with the team.
  7. Industry Expertise in Service Industry: Apply deep understanding of the utilities services industry to identify niche skills and hard-to-find talent. Stay informed of industry trends, regulatory changes, and skills in demand in both telecoms and renewable energy.

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  2. 5+ years of experience in talent acquisition.
  3. Proven track record in utilities and services recruitment.
  4. Solid understanding of compensation and benefits structures, particularly as they relate to recruitment and offer negotiations.
  5. Strong experience in creating, updating, and managing job descriptions.
