Halian is hiring for the position of Platform Engineer (DevOps) in Riyadh, KSA. Experience: 7+ Years Location: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia Duration: 3 Months & Extendable Project Mandatory: Must have transferable Iqama.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Ruby on Rails with a strong understanding of MVC architecture.
- Hands-on experience with Kibana and Elasticsearch for monitoring and log analysis.
- Expertise in MongoDB and PostgreSQL database design, management, and optimization.
- Deep knowledge of WAF solutions and security best practices (e.g., OWASP).
- Proficiency in managing Kubernetes clusters using Rancher.
- Familiarity with containerization tools (e.g., Docker) and orchestration systems (e.g., Kubernetes).
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Responsibilities:
- Ruby on Rails Development:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems using Ruby on Rails.
- Optimize application performance and ensure code quality through peer reviews and best practices.
- Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
- Database Management (MongoDB & PostgreSQL):
- Design and optimize database schemas for MongoDB and PostgreSQL.
- Monitor and manage database performance, backups, and disaster recovery plans.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database issues to ensure high availability and reliability.
- Kibana Monitoring:
- Set up and manage dashboards and visualizations in Kibana for real-time monitoring.
- Analyze system performance metrics and provide insights to optimize infrastructure.
- Container Orchestration with Rancher:
- Manage and maintain Kubernetes clusters using Rancher for containerized applications.
- Implement best practices for container security and resource management.
