But that’s enough about us – we’d like to meet you! The Role We are looking for an experienced Finance professional to join our Finance department as a Senior Financial Accountant. This role gives you the opportunity to work with our teams in Ireland, UK and Cyprus. BidX1 has a flexible, hybrid working model – most roles are based 60% in our office in Ballsbridge and 40% remote. Responsibilities

1. Financial Reporting: Prepare, review, and ensure accurate and timely financial statements in compliance with accounting standards.
2. Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in budgeting and financial forecasting, monitor performance, and provide variance analysis.
3. General Ledger Management: Oversee the general ledger, ensure accurate recording of transactions, and perform account reconciliations.
4. Compliance and Audit: Ensure adherence to financial regulations, prepare for audits, and address audit findings.
5. Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making and provide actionable insights.
6. VAT Returns: Oversee VAT returns.
7. Internal Controls and Process Improvement: Implement and monitor internal controls, and identify opportunities for process improvements.
8. Team Leadership and Mentorship: Supervise other members of the team, provide guidance, and support professional development.
9. Cash Flow Management: Oversee cash flow projections and ensure liquidity for the organization.
10. Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the key point of contact for financial queries with internal and external stakeholders.
11. Client Account Management: Ensure client funds are managed in accordance with the relevant industry standards.

Qualifications & Skills

• ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a busy accountancy role, ideally in industry but practice will be considered as well.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills are essential.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Ability to adapt to changing financial regulations and business environments.
• Ability to think strategically and contribute to overall finance function.
• Self-starter requiring minimal supervision.
• Management experience would be an advantage but not essential.
• Prior experience using Accounts IQ accounting software would be an advantage but not essential.
