Work Location: KSA > Jubail Tasnee was established in 1985 as the Saudi private sector's first fully owned joint-stock industrial company, with the aim of advancing the economic diversification in Saudi Arabia. Headquartered in Riyadh. An exciting opportunity is available for an Engineer, Planning located in Jubail. POSITION SUMMARY: The Engineer, Planning is responsible for developing comprehensive project plans to support large-scale industrial construction initiatives; scheduling, budgeting, and risk management to ensure projects are completed efficiently and in alignment with company objectives; collaborating with various departments utilizing advanced planning tools to monitor progress and facilitate effective communication with all stakeholders. KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Project Management
  • Handle complex engineering projects from initial stages through to execution and final close-out related to project planning.
  • Ensure project planning conforms to project management principles, processes, and methodologies aligned with Tasnee’s framework.
  • Align best project management practices in project planning with Tasnee’s strategic objectives.
  • Provide credible support to project management teams through efficient project planning.
  • Attend project meetings and submit reports to senior project management regularly.
  • Project Scope Management
  • Establish clear project scope parameters in collaboration with engineering and operations teams.
  • Lead the development of scope validation processes to minimize deviations and ensure project deliverables are met.
  • Attend scope management meetings to keep stakeholders informed of changes to the project plan.
  • Project Planning Management
  • Develop comprehensive project plans incorporating timelines, risk assessments, and resource allocations.
  • Utilize advanced planning tools like Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project to develop structured project plans.
  • Coordinate the integration of construction and procurement schedules.
  • Regularly update project plans to reflect progress and emerging risks.
  • Project Scheduling Management
  • Develop detailed project schedules using scheduling software like Primavera P6.
  • Track and analyze schedule performance, adjusting as needed.
  • Attend regular scheduling workshops with cross-functional teams.
  • Project Cost Management
  • Develop project budgets and track project costs.
  • Prepare financial reports for senior management.
  • Identify and evaluate risks associated with projects and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Project Management Methodologies
  • Implement project management methodologies suited to the scale and complexity of operations.
  • Customize methodologies to align with Tasnee’s project requirements.
  • Project Stakeholders Management
  • Engage with key stakeholders to ensure all requirements are documented.
  • Communicate updates and project changes effectively.
  • Address and resolve stakeholder concerns.
Minimum Requirements:
  • 12 to 15 years’ experience in project planning of large-scale industrial projects.
  • Experience in project scheduling, cost estimation, and resource management, ideally within petrochemical or manufacturing environments.
  • Competent knowledge in English and Arabic, spoken and written.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, analytical, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
