Steer Studios is looking for an HR Operations Specialist to provide HR expertise and a variety of day-to-day HR support activities to production teams within Steer Studios. The role will report directly to Steer Studios VP of Operations, the primary manager on day-to-day operations, and indirectly to Savvy Games Group's (the ParentCo) Director of HR Business Partners, the secondary manager who provides additional oversight and guidance to a team of HR Business Partners in the group. The HR Operations Specialist will provide advice and counsel in all areas of HR, including ongoing employee relations, new manager coaching, employee development, and interpretation of relevant HR policies. Key Responsibilities:

  • Main HR Point of Contact : Act as the main contact for Employees/Managers/Directors/VP in collaboration with HR Services and ensure compliance with HR policies and procedures in daily operations.
  • Implement Group Policies : Ensure full collaboration between HR and all human capital functions to implement policies, programs, and solutions.
  • Onboarding Management : Ensure everything is ready for the incoming employee's onboarding experience, including communication and follow-up with employees.
  • Prepare Weekly Report : Provide a weekly report to the Steer Studios Manager, including a clear analysis of relevant HR topics.
  • Assist with Employee Relations : Work with management to identify high and low performers and ensure follow-up on training/career development plans.
  • Assist with Training & Development : Coordinate with management to identify training needs and implement a training plan.
  • Support Performance Management Process : Facilitate performance reviews and coordinate follow-ups on performance meetings and results.
  • Support KPI Process : Help managers define clear objectives and KPIs for each team member.
  • Enforce Contract Probation Periods : Ensure probation periods are communicated, documented, and followed up on.
  • Support Morale & Engagement : Mediate and resolve employee relations issues and provide expert advice to ensure ongoing performance and retention.
  • Update HRIS : Keep HRIS up to date and ensure it provides clear reports.
  • Prepare Various Reports : Provide management with all required HR reports, including attendance, turnover, and performance analysis.
  • Org Structure : Assist in the assessment and development of Org Design at the Function/Sector level.
  • Other Tasks : Perform other tasks as assigned by the direct manager or Steer Studios Director of HR.

Qualifications and Key Skills:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in business/HR or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years of business experience in leadership development, organizational development, consulting, change management, and talent management.
  • Ideal experience in a High-Tech company with R&D but not Manufacturing.
  • Experience within a heavily matrix organization.
  • Strong management skills, with familiarity in a competitive industry.
  • Ability to facilitate and relate to people across cultures and levels.
  • Working knowledge of general HR practices and the ability to influence HR strategy and policy.
  • Mastery of HR information systems.
  • Familiarity with Steer Studios, our products, and competencies.
  • Excellent communication abilities (dialogue, oral and written presentation, information research, data analytics, etc.).
  • Excellent interpersonal and relational abilities.
  • Fluent in both spoken and written English and Arabic.
