Job Title: Technology Director Location: Saudi Job Summary Our client operates in the real estate sector in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. It focuses on real estate development and is involved in various high-profile projects. Its work includes planning, branding, and marketing strategies for major real estate projects which aim to boost Jeddah’s northern area, aligning with Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030. Key Responsibilities

Corporate Strategy: Develop and execute the Department long-term strategic plan in alignment with the corporate strategies. Develop annual business plans for the Department and ensure the achievement of financial and strategic objectives. Report to the Chief on the progress of activities against the annual business plans, opportunities, challenges and issues faced, mitigations taken, etc. as required, to make an informed decision.
Leadership: Manage the performance of the department’s employees, define workforce requirements, ensure recruitment, training and development of talent with the Human Capital Department.
Organisation Structure: Recommend an optimum organisation structure for the Department, in coordination with the Chief to ensure smooth workflow of operational processes and optimal utilization of resources.
Financial Accountability: Prepare and recommend the Department’s budget in alignment to the respective annual business plan. Monitor the Department’s financial performance against the approved budget, identify areas of unsatisfactory performance (if any), and recommend mitigating actions. Lead the development and implementation of policies and procedures that would aid in the transformation of the company to a smart city.
Technology Implementation: Establish technology powered cities within the company ecosystem in order to back all city-related decisions with data, to provide best-in-class resident experience.
Collaboration: Collaborate with central IT function with technological advancements, including the planning and execution of information systems, applications, networking and telecommunication services, data center management and other initiatives.
Infrastructure Development: Liaise with development teams to develop the city infrastructure in line with the technology and software requirements, aiding in the development of a smart city.
Data Management: Develop and continuously improve data collection channels in order to aid in city management and community engagement related decisions.
Analysis and Improvement: Oversee and guide the analysis of the data collated in order to identify measures to improve the services provided using smart city concepts/technology, identifying the critical challenges and opportunities for moving forward with the implementation of a smart city action plan.
Change Management: Identify and manage implementation of change initiatives on systems, processes and practices considering ‘international leading practices’, and/or other changes in the business environment.
Policies, Systems, Processes and Procedures: Manage the development and implementation of Departmental policies, systems, processes and procedures to ensure operational excellence.

Qualifications and Experience

Preferably a Master’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
Experience in a relevant Industry.
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Information Technology or a relevant field.
Total of 10+ years of experience in a relevant industry, out of which 4 years at a Senior Management level.
Proficiency in both Arabic and English.
Professional certification in a related field.
