Job Summary The Accountant will be responsible for processing all transactions related to General Ledger, Accounts Payables, Fixed Assets, and Payroll. He will also be responsible for consolidating and preparing the financial reports for the entire organization. Major Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Ensures through his actions, either directly or indirectly, that a superior quality of medical treatment, compassion, and understanding is given to every patient served at the NMC Hospitals and Clinics.
  2. Maintains general ledger, including preparing journal entries, coding invoices, accounts analysis and reconciliation, closing books monthly & yearly, setting up new accounts.
  3. Processes fixed assets transactions including acquisition, transfer, depreciation, disposal, and verification.
  4. Processes Payroll payments to employees.
  5. Performs accounts payable duties including receiving invoices, matching invoices, resolving issues, and entering the invoice into the AP system, as well as processing invoices for payment.
  6. Analyses accounts, as required, and assists in period end and year-end closings.
  7. Prepares NMC's financial statements.
  8. Prepares the consolidated financial statements for the entire organization (NMC & Business Units).
  9. Files all appropriate tax forms (ZAKAT) and reports with government agencies.
  10. Assists external auditors at year-end including preparation of schedules, invoices, and explaining supporting procedures.
  11. Performs additional tasks and duties as assigned by Superiors.
Reporting to Chief Accountant Qualifications:
  1. A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting with a minimum of 3 years of related experience.
  2. Professional certificate (i.e., CPA or CA) is preferable.
  3. Must demonstrate the ability to handle all activities related to Accounting.
  4. Ability to think logically and systematically.
  5. Strong interpersonal skills such as communication, motivation, loyalty, and openness.
  6. Knowledge of computerized accounting systems.
  7. Knowledge of spreadsheet software.
  8. Ability to communicate properly in oral and written form.
  9. Proficiency in both English and Arabic Language.
