Our client is creating a luxury island resort set to become a truly unique, world-class destination. They are seeking an experienced Design Director to lead the design and project management of this prestigious development, encompassing both the resort and high-end luxury residences. The Design Director will be the visionary leader overseeing the design and delivery of a world-class luxury island resort. This role will involve managing all aspects of the design process, ensuring the seamless integration of architecture, interiors, landscaping, and infrastructure to create a unique, cohesive destination. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in luxury hospitality and residential projects and a proven ability to deliver exceptional results in high-profile developments. Key Responsibilities:

Develop and drive the overall design vision, ensuring alignment with the project's brand, luxury standards, and client aspirations.
Collaborate with stakeholders to translate the project's vision into design objectives and strategies.
Ensure all designs uphold a sense of exclusivity, sustainability, and world-class appeal.
Oversee all design-related activities across architecture, interiors, landscaping, and public spaces.
Manage and coordinate multidisciplinary design teams, including architects, interior designers, consultants, and contractors.
Ensure that all phases of the design processfrom concept to constructionare delivered on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Serve as the primary liaison between the client, design consultants, and project management teams.
Present design concepts and progress updates to stakeholders, securing buy-in and approvals as needed.
Address and resolve design challenges proactively, ensuring alignment across all project components.
Maintain strict adherence to the project's design intent and brand guidelines.
Ensure all designs comply with local regulations, environmental standards, and sustainability goals.
Conduct regular site visits and reviews to ensure that construction aligns with approved design specifications.
Select and manage design consultants, contractors, and other vendors critical to the project's success.
Foster collaboration among diverse teams to achieve creative and functional excellence.
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior design team members.

Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field.
Minimum of 15 years of experience in luxury hospitality, resort, or high-end residential design, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
Proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale, high-profile projects.
