Your day at NTT DATA The SIEM Administrator is a subject matter expert, responsible for delivering enterprise-level IT support and maintenance of various IT services into the organization by following guidelines and instructions. The core responsibilities of this role are to learn the skills related to support installation, configuration, operation and maintenance of company infrastructure and systems. This role is supported by senior team members to implement fixes for identified issues considered as less complex in nature. The SIEM Administrator generally works under the supervision of more experienced members of the team. What You'll Be Doing

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Installs, tests and maintains new hardware or software to provide new services.
  2. Performs first-level troubleshooting and system analysis using standard checklists to resolve incidents and to ensure system availability.
  3. Performs system administration tasks which include configuration, systems monitoring, troubleshooting, and support.
  4. Tests and validates new systems to ensure that it fulfills the required functionality and quality.
  5. Implements backup and recovery procedures to ensure the needed availability.
  6. Implements and performs system monitoring for proactive support by collecting examples such as availability, performance metrics and system logs.
  7. Performs hardware or software upgrades and patching.
  8. Executes standard changes as part of the Change Management Process.
  9. Executes tasks as part of the Request Fulfilment.
  10. Creates and manages tickets for the Incident Management, Change Management and Request Fulfilment.
  11. Documents work results, actions taken, steps to resolve, effort and resolution time in the ticketing system.
  12. Performs other tasks as defined, planned, and approved by the leadership team.

Knowledge and Attributes:

  1. Entry-level knowledge of the needed infrastructure technology or Software.
  2. Entry-level knowledge of the necessary management tools and management languages (for example PowerShell, Python, SQL, ABAP etc.).
  3. Entry-level knowledge of the underlying protocols of the used technology.
  4. Developing proficiency at troubleshooting and good technical understanding.
  5. Good verbal and written communication skills and able to explain technical content to non-technical stakeholders.
  6. Knowledge of ITIL support process (Incident, Change and Request Management).
  7. Entry-level understanding of the business processes which are delivered with the managed system.
  8. Ability to analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
  9. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  10. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Academic Qualifications and Certifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Information Technology or related field.
  2. Relevant certification for the requested technology - CCNA, MCP, A+, Linux+, Microsoft Certified is beneficial.

Required Experience:

  1. Entry-level experience in a similar role gained within a similar information technology environment.
