Vision Engineer

Role Description:

1. Design and develop Machine Vision Systems for integration with industrial automation machinery.
2. Conduct feasibility studies by evaluating customer product samples and preparing detailed reports.
3. Select and configure components such as cameras, light sources, lighting controllers, and lenses for Machine Vision Systems.
4. Design and implement vision inspection algorithms using the HALCON library.
5. Collaborate as a team member in automation projects involving vision system integration.
6. Optimize vision recipes and perform Gage R&R studies for customer site buyoffs.
7. Analyze data to identify root causes of customer-reported issues and develop effective solutions.
8. Stay updated with advancements in computer vision and machine learning technologies.
9. Prepare and deliver technical presentations to stakeholders.
10. Document and maintain project records, including design documents and test results.

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Mechatronics, Electrical/Electronic, Optical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
2. Proven experience in computer vision development (Senior candidates should have minimum 3+ years of experience; Fresh graduate/Junior candidates with less than 3 years experience are encouraged to apply).
3. Knowledge in optics/photonics is a plus.
4. Proficiency in the HALCON vision library is advantageous.
5. Experience with Cognex or Keyence vision systems is a plus.
6. Familiarity with Python and Deep Learning frameworks is an advantage.
7. Programming experience in C#, C++, or LabVIEW is a plus.
8. Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
9. Ability to work collaboratively within a team and communicate effectively with clients.
