Responsibilities:
- To plan, organize, and manage the engineering activities to achieve optimum productivity, cost, quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
- To lead and coach a team of engineering professionals in their skill/knowledge development to contribute effectively towards the company’s quality policy, goals, and growth.
- To initiate, introduce, develop, and implement continuous improvement programs such as QCC, cost reduction, process yield, and efficiencies.
- To be responsible for developing staff competencies through effective training, communication, and motivation.
- To lead and organize troubleshooting on major problems encountered and implement process changes and improvements where necessary.
- To assist during the QS and EMS audits by certification bodies and internal audits.
- To execute any other duties assigned by superior.
- Support NPI plating setup and provide activities on report and update documentation like FMEA and control plan.
- Lead activities on machine modification to support productivity, process, and quality improvement.
Job Requirements:
- Must have a degree in Chemistry/Chemical Engineering minimum.
- Able to lead a team of engineers to develop new process requirements from customers.
- Knowledge of roughening process and other leading technologies or equivalent is a must.
- Have at least 8 – 12 years of experience in handling automated reel to reel and strip to strip plating lines related to precious metal processes together with preplated lead frames.
- Good knowledge of using statistical methods to analyze data.
- Basic knowledge of FMEA and control plans is a must.
- Have experience in handling turnkey projects.
- Familiar with CAD software and with some basic lead frame design rules.
- Have some experience in handling NPI activities and customer requirements will be an added advantage.
