- Monthly engagement activities
- Prepare and file individual, sole trader, partnership, company, and trust tax returns in accordance with Australian tax regulations.
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of tax documents to meet ATO requirements
- Generate financial statements for clients, prepare quarterly and monthly management reports.
- Prepare and lodge Business Activity Statements (BAS) and Instalment Activity Statements (IAS) monthly or quarterly, ensuring compliance with ATO guidelines.
- Calculate superannuation liabilities accurately and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Preferably possess knowledge of the DEXT platform for efficient data extraction.
- Comfortable working with Google Workspace; familiarity is preferred, though not essential.
- Utilize Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel, for various accounting and financial analysis tasks.
- Stay updated on tax laws, regulations, and industry changes to ensure compliance in all financial activities.
- Undertake other duties as required, showcasing adaptability and a proactive approach to fulfilling additional responsibilities that contribute to the team's overall success.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, or a related field
- Must have at least 4-5 years AU Accountant experience
- Advanced proficiency in Australian business taxation, GST, and payroll processes
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, MYOB, Xero and Microsoft Office 365
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience in a remote or virtual work environment is a plus
- XERO Certified Advisor are preferred but not required
