Organisation: H2O Swim Club Contract Type: Permanent Qualifications: Teaching Swimming: SEQ Level 2 Teaching Swimming Qualification or ASA Level 2 Award in Teaching Aquatics (QCF) Coaching Swimming: Swimming Coach Certificate or Level 2 Award Working Hours: Full time Location: Doha, Qatar Salary: 108,000 QAR per year tax free Closing Date: 1st March 2025 23:59 Job Reference: H2OJnrCoach H2O Swim Club is looking for an enthusiastic full-time Junior Coach to work in Qatar. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the leading swimming academies in the Middle East and the largest in Qatar. As a Junior Coach and Swimming Teacher, you will work with school programs and H2O programs. You will work with learn to swim lessons and coach and develop an academy program. You will be working with our Head Coach to develop a long-term athlete development approach for the swimmers. Responsibilities:
  • Coaching:
  • Teach Learn to Swim classes.
  • Work with the School to assist with programs when required.
  • Oversee and coach a dry land program where needed.
  • Develop, coordinate and coach, when necessary, the swim program during school hours.
  • Attend all swimming competitions.
  • Implement all H2O Swim Club programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Coordinate with the Site Manager to ensure the pool is secured and that all swimmers have been collected.
  • Ensure that the pool is left in a clean and orderly manner and that all equipment is stored away properly.
  • Communicate with parents effectively, respectfully, and professionally.
Scheduling:
  • Plan and design swimming pool training sessions for all groups.
  • Adapt and modify the schedule as required to ensure a safe environment whilst achieving maximum capacity in revenue generation.
  • Attend coaches’ meetings.
  • Work with part-time Coaches to ensure professional growth.
Administration:
  • Assist the admin team with communicating program changes, class cancellations, attendance to competitions, communication, meet information, etc.
  • Review swim competition entries.
  • Maintain all swimmers’ timings and records.
  • Make sure all Learn to Swim tick sheets are up-to-date.
  • Use social media outlets to promote the Academy.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Swim England Swimming Coach certificate/ASA Level 2 Coaching Award qualification (or equivalent).
  • Swim England Qualifications Level 2 Teaching Swimming Qualification or ASA Level 2 Award in Teaching Aquatics.
Desired Experience:
  • Minimum of 2 years coaching experience as an assistant or lead coach.
  • Has knowledge of running Hytek Meet Manager in a competition environment.
Job-Specific Knowledge and Skills:
  • Basic IT skills working with Microsoft (Word/Excel/PowerPoint).
  • Basic knowledge of graphic design and use of social media platforms.
  • Confidence and ability to develop positive relationships.
  • Problem-solving and conflict resolution.
The position is full-time with a 2-year contract which is renewable. The start date is August 2025. Applicants must have a proven track record in developing junior swimmers.
