In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Re-design responsibility:
- To re-design EOL parts in T&M RF Test measurement products to extend their life span to meet customer needs & maintain RF product revenue.
- Re-design circuitry ranges from low frequency analogue, power supply, RF and Microwave circuitries including discrete and IC based topologies.
- Integrate DFM inputs from MFG to improve product yield & quality.
- Research and propose alternative parts with effective solutions in consideration of avoiding major software & product calibration, hardware topology changes to replace EOL parts in RF products.
- Proactive in doing mock-up design as proof of concept (POC) to strengthen re-design proposal and acquire final approval from RF domain leaders, with equivalent experience considered.
- Exposure in analogue passive / active filter designs, DSP, and PCB layout development are ideal requirements.
- Completing Board level Best practices (BLBP) and Analog Design Best Practices (ADBP) is added advantage.
- Have good knowledge in failure analysis:
- Able to come up with fishbone diagram to list possible root causes and narrow down to actual root cause.
- Properly document failure / project progress and share with stakeholders by sharing short- and long-term design solutions.
- Create debug tool and training material for MFG during product release.
- Deploy re-design project into T&M MFG Penang:
- Strong knowledge of NI product calibration and T&M test measurements standard processes to resolve product issues during NPI and Ship & Ramp.
- Create proper debug guides, debug tools and provide training to MFG techs and Failure Analysis engineer.
- Bachelor's in Engineering (or related) degree in Electronics or Telecommunications.
- Analogue design experience in T&M products.
- Ability to travel to Austin for training and project discussion with R&D.
- 1-2 years of work experience in the related field is required for this position.
- Fresh graduates or entry-level candidates are welcome to apply for the position.
- Experienced RF design engineers with passion to learn RF design are ideal candidates.
- Hands-on problem-solving skills including failure analysis and root cause analysis.
- Ability to communicate effectively across various functions.
