IT Project Manager holds the overall responsibility and accountability for IT project management within the Technology domain.

  1. Strong in partnership with various teams from consumer banking, corporate banking users, finance, operations and technology to deliver projects to agreed scope, schedule, budget and quality.
  2. Accountable for delivery of specific IT projects according to organisation strategy and direction.
  3. Lead the planning and implementation of IT projects.
  4. Prepare project feasibility studies, cost-benefit analysis and proposals and obtain required approvals from appropriate IT management and project sponsors.
  5. Establish project plans, resources, budgets and timeframes, and assign tasks.
  6. Identify, track and communicate project progress, milestones, deliverables changes and dependencies within the schedule, costs, issues and risks.
  7. Manage team’s performance of project tasks, provide technical advice and guidance, schedule assignments and training for development, prepare performance appraisals.
  8. Coordinate project activities across multiple development, product management, user experience and QA teams in a matrix organization.
  9. Secure acceptance and approval of deliverables or revisions to the project from the project sponsor and stakeholders.
  10. Manage project financials to ensure that project is delivered within budget.
  11. Manage vendor relationship, including vendor contract negotiation and contract.
  12. Evaluate and recommend purchases of software packages, hardware and service vendors where appropriate.
  13. Ensure work deliverables are in compliance with bank policies and regulatory requirements.
  14. Plan for and oversee preparation of documentation of each project phase (business requirements, functional specification, project plan, test strategy, test plan, etc), training and support in new/modified applications.
  15. Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project deliverables.
  16. Ensure deliverables are in compliance with organisation’s policies, quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  17. Assist in identifying improvement areas in organisation’s project management processes.
Qualifications:
  1. Able to work independently and adapt quickly to a results-oriented environment.
  2. At least 3 years of experience as Project Manager in successful IT projects implementation (mainly in Application delivery).
  3. Knowledge of project management techniques and tools.
  4. Well versed with Agile or Lean methodology of delivering a project.
  5. Understanding of technical aspects of system integration in a mix technology environment.
  6. Good verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  7. Critical thinking and effective problem-solving skills.
  8. Planning, organizing and coordination skill.
  9. Negotiation and conflict management skill.
  10. Able to guide, influence and motivate teams.
  11. Self-starting with excellent leadership and team building skills.
  12. Experience in managing senior stakeholders.
  13. Experience in financial / banking industry will be a plus.
  14. Experience in digital banking or digital transformation will be an added advantage.
  15. PMP or PRINCE2 certification will also be an advantage.
