GPTech seeks a skilled Copywriter to draft the 2024–2025 Annual Report for Power Africa under GPTech’s contract with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). This report will highlight Power Africa’s achievements, challenges, and impact over the past year, promoting transparency and accountability to a broad audience. The copywriter will collaborate with our communications team, led by the Chief of Party (Lois Moodley), to ensure that the report aligns with our strategic objectives and maintains a professional, consistent tone.
Responsibilities:
- Content Development: Review background resources, interviews, and project data to gain a comprehensive understanding of Power Africa’s progress over the year.
- Drafting: Write clear, concise, and engaging content for the report, adhering to provided structure and key messaging.
- Revisions: Incorporate team and client feedback across multiple drafts to meet organizational standards for clarity, consistency, and tone.
- Finalization: Prepare the approved report content for design and formatting, ensuring it is ready for publishing.
- Optional Social Media Content: Develop accompanying social media content as needed.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in writing for government or international development reports, preferably for USAID or similar agencies.
- Strong command of USAID style guides.
- Ability to communicate technical achievements in accessible, compelling language.
- Attention to detail and capacity to handle feedback across multiple drafts.
- Proficient with Google Docs and Google Suite for collaborative editing.
