SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGER

Job Responsibilities:

1. Raw Materials: Source from China, Taiwan, Korea, and Japan.
2. Tools and Cutters: Procure primarily from China and Taiwan.
3. Components: Source from China.
4. Packaging Materials and Miscellaneous Items: Purchase from local suppliers.
5. Global Sourcing: Identify and engage suppliers to secure the best costs while maintaining quality and lead times.
6. Strategic Procurement:
1. Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business goals.
2. Drive annual cost reduction initiatives and manage budgets effectively.
3. Usage and Expense Optimization: Evaluate internal usage of materials and tools to reduce waste and expenses.

Warehouse & Logistics Management:

1. Operational Oversight: Ensure:
1. Accurate quantity and type of parts are shipped and packed.
2. Shipments are arranged and dispatched on time.
3. VMI Warehouse: Manage the Vendor-Managed Inventory (VMI) warehouse in Penang.
2. Process Optimization:
1. Lead the implementation of full warehouse automation to support business expansion.
2. Performance Monitoring: Establish KPIs to track warehouse and logistics efficiency.

Team Leadership and Collaboration:

1. Provide guidance and leadership to Purchasing and Warehouse teams.
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align supply chain processes with overall business objectives.

Candidate Requirements:

1. Experience & Skills:
1. Minimum 10 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in an established multinational corporation (MNC).
2. Proficient in ERP systems, such as SAP or Oracle JDE.
3. Strong expertise in global sourcing and procurement strategies.
4. Demonstrated ability to lead cost reduction and usage optimization initiatives.
5. Solid understanding of warehouse operations, including automation processes.
6. Familiarity with logistics and inventory management best practices.
7. Bachelor degree in Engineering, Supply Chain management, Business Administration, or a related field.
2. Personal Attributes:
1. Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
2. Excellent leadership and communication abilities.
3. Fluent in Bahasa Malaysia, English, and Chinese.
4. Proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities effectively.
5. Candidates residing in or near Seremban will be given priority.
