Intern - Data Analytics - Economics

We are looking for a passionate and driven Group Business Analytics Intern with an interest in data science and machine learning. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience working on real-world analytics and machine learning projects. As part of the Group Business Analytics team , you will work closely with experienced data scientists and analysts to help solve complex business problems and support data-driven decision-making across the organization.

What You Will Do

• Assist in collecting, processing, and analyzing data from multiple sources to support analytics initiatives.
• Contribute to machine learning projects, including data preparation, feature engineering, model training, and evaluation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Marketing, Finance, Operations) to identify opportunities for machine learning applications.
• Help develop and deploy predictive models for business forecasting, customer segmentation, and other use cases.
• Create and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and model performance.
• Assist in evaluating model performance and making recommendations for improvement.
• Conduct ad-hoc analysis and support A/B testing and other experimentation to improve business outcomes.
• Ensure data quality and integrity by cleaning and validating datasets.
• Document findings and insights and effectively communicate results to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Required Skills and Abilities

• Currently pursuing a degree in Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science , or a related field.
• Experience with machine learning algorithms and frameworks such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to work with large datasets.
• Proficiency in Python, with knowledge of SQL.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.
• Basic understanding of statistical concepts and experience with data modeling.
• Exposure to natural language processing (NLP), time-series forecasting, or similar domains is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail, with a passion for solving problems using data and machine learning.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn new tools and techniques.
• Hands-on experience in machine learning, data analytics, and business intelligence.
• Exposure to real-world applications of data science in a business context.
