PetroRisk is seeking qualified candidates for a Principal Technical Safety Consultant role for our Lahore office. Interested candidates should have an excellent understanding of the technical and operational issues fundamental to process and technical safety and risk engineering and management within the oil and gas and petrochemical industries. In addition, candidates should have a strong interest in business development and possess good organizational and communication skills. Due to continued growth and workload, and our commitment to our clients to expand our consultancy business in Pakistan and the Middle East region, we are seeking to recruit an experienced, self-driven and influential Principal Safety Consultant / Engineer to develop and lead our Technical / Process Safety & Risk Management consultancy service line in the region. Key accountabilities for this position include but are not limited to:
- HSE Project technical delivery/ Management and coordination
- Conducting Quantitative Risk Assessment (QRA)
- Performing Parts Count, Fault Tree and Event Tree Analysis
- Performing consequence modeling using DNV Phast and interpretation of results
- Conduct Bowtie and ALARP Analysis
- Emergency System Survivability Analysis (ESSA)
- Evacuation, Escape and Rescue Analysis (EERA)
- Fire Risk Assessment (FRA)
- Fire and gas Mapping Study
- Control of Major Accident Hazards (COMAH) Study
- HSEIA and Safety Case Development
- Participation in HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, PHSER, SIMOPS, MOPO, ENVID, OHID workshops
- Identification and development of safety critical elements (also referred to as HSECESs)
- Writing technical reports; proposal preparation
- Other HSE, Process Safety and Asset Integrity Related Activities.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from an accredited University.
- At least 5 years of experience as a Process Engineer in a refinery, fertilizer plant, oil/gas industry.
- Excellent communication and technical report writing skills;
- Proactive, fast learner, self-motivated characteristic with good organizational and team working skills;
- Experience with oil and gas projects is preferred.
- Well-developed team building and influencing skills; unquestioned integrity; and the experience, confidence, and stature to effectively address client and business needs and challenges.
- Positive outlook, collaborative, and driven by the success of PetroRisk.
- Professional documented proficiency in spoken and written English is mandatory.
