The IoT & Automation Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing IoT solutions and automation systems to improve and optimize industrial processes. This role requires expertise in IoT platforms, embedded systems, and industrial automation technologies. Responsibilities
- Perform project initial feasibility study to identify customer requirements.
- Develop and implement IoT solutions, including hardware and software components.
- Design automation systems to control and monitor industrial processes.
- Integrate IoT devices with cloud platforms for data collection, analysis, and remote monitoring.
- Work with cross-functional teams to integrate IoT and automation systems into existing infrastructure.
- Able to perform PLC programming and HMI design.
- Familiarity with various communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, Ethernet/IP).
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in an industrial automation environment.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and lead projects when necessary.
- Able to prepare technical documentation, including system designs, user manuals, and maintenance procedures.
- Document project progress and maintain records of system modifications.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
- Good command of English; advantage if able to speak Mandarin or other foreign languages.
- 3-5 years hands-on experience in the field of Electrical & Automation in the manufacturing industry.
- In-depth knowledge of Instrumentation and Programmable Logic Control (especially PLC for OMRON, SIEMENS, & MITSUBISHI), Human Machine Interfaces (HMI), and MES (Manufacturing Execution System).
- Experience in ladder diagrams with Mitsubishi, Siemens, and Omron PLC.
- Experience working on small or medium scale projects; preferably with experience managing a team.
- Results-oriented, aggressive, and able to work independently.
- Able to work under pressure and possess good analytical skills.
- Willing to travel.
- Someone who is adaptable and open-minded.
