The primary role of the Production Executive is to oversee the whole spectrum of production operation in ensuring quality control and quality assurance. The Production Executive must have good technical knowledge to support training for the operation and should be skilled in analysing and evaluating this training requirement. He / she should have excellent planning and organisation skills and must have the tenacity to follow through on training plan activities. The Production Executive needs to have good interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a matrix organisation.Key responsibilities
- Assists in the development of production schedules with the Production Manager/ Superintendent so that maximum productivity (online & yield) is achieved, quality standards (shippable) are met, and customer delivery times/ dates are achieved.
- Responsible for ensuring the Quality Control program is exercised to produce quality shippable products according to sales order in order to fulfil customer satisfaction.
- Maintain the housekeeping and sanitation of the plant to comply with established standards. Responsible for ensuring compliance with food safety policy and other standards established such as HACCP, cGMP, AIB, HALAL, VET, ISO 14001, ISO 18001, etc.
- Responsible for shift scheduling to include workstation assignments, rotations, employee breaks, overtime assignment, back-up for absent employees, and shift rotations.
- Maintain standards of environmental, health, and safety which are consistent with corporate standards. Responsible for ensuring compliance with environmental, health, and safety policy and other standards established such as ISO 14001, ISO 18001, RSPO, etc.
- Presents accurate and timely production shift reports in a format for management use. Responsible for ensuring all production documents/checklists are completed such as CIP checklist, production monitoring sheets, etc.
- Able to complete ad-hoc assignments/projects given by production manager/superintendent on time.
- Technical competency in problem solving - Able to conduct simple problem solving with tools, such as fishbone and 5 why's, with external guidance. May be capable of using the DMAIC methodology to solve complex problems.
- Disciplinary management - Engaged with ER/Superior in dealing with disciplinary problems.
Qualifications and skills
- Degree in Process Engineering, Mechanical or other engineering-related fields, Food Tech/Food Science will be an advantage.
- 3-5 years of experience in a supervisory role in a manufacturing environment (food production manufacturing will be an advantage).
- Excellent verbal and written English.
- Able to work on shifts.
- Good behavior to lead by example. Strong leadership skills, organizational and planning abilities, and problem-solving skills are essential.
- Strong communication skills towards superiors and subordinates.
- Competence to give clear reports for any issues that occur during duty.
- Strong leadership to lead the team and also continuously improve team members by providing coaching and development plans.
