Senior Executive - Procurement

This position is responsible for managing procurement activities for the retail pharmacy operations, which includes sourcing, negotiating, and procuring a wide range of pharmaceutical and healthcare products to meet our business needs while ensuring cost efficiency and product quality. Responsibilities:
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate terms, and establish long-term partnerships to ensure a consistent supply of high-quality products.
- Sourcing pharmaceutical and healthcare products and services while optimizing costs and quality.
- Draft, review, and manage procurement contracts, including terms and conditions, pricing agreements, and service level agreements with suppliers.
- Coordinates procurement operations and inventory management to ensure critical drug availability, accurate inventory value assessment, optimized inventory turns, and minimized drug expirations.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock level, inventory value assessment, minimize wastage and prevent stockouts.
- Analyze procurement costs, identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement strategies to improve procurement efficiency.
- Prepare and present procurement reports to management, highlighting key performance indicators and insights.
- Conduct market research to keep abreast of emerging trends, marketing conditions, business opportunities and product innovations to make informed procurement decisions.
- Any other duties as and when assigned from time to time.
- Bachelor degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business or any relevant field.
- Minimum 3 - 4 years of relevant work experience in procurement, preferable within the retail pharmacy or healthcare industry.
- Effective negotiation and contract management skills.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct cost analyses.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to communicate effectively in English (verbal & written).
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements for pharmaceutical procurement.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
