Reporting to – Co-Founder Job Description: Network and Infrastructure Engineer Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Network and Infrastructure Engineer to oversee and manage our organization's IT operations. The Network and Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and secure operation of our IT infrastructure, and aligning technology solutions with our business goals. Skillsets required:

  • 3 - 5 years of experience in enterprise network management, wireless platforms (preferably Ruckus, Cisco Meraki)
  • Experience on firewall security design, deployment and support (Cisco Meraki MX, Sophos XG series preferred)
  • Troubleshooting knowledge on switching - Spanning Tree, Stack.
  • Experience in VPN technologies (IPSEC , SSL VPN)
  • General experience across a broad spectrum of network technologies (routing, switching, firewall, TCP/IP, DNS, WAN, UC etc.)
  • Knowledge on AWS cloud technology.
  • Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring and analysis tools.
  • CCNA or CCNP Certificate is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage product lifecycles and deliver projects on time.
  • Proficiency in using data to drive decision-making and measure product performance.
  • Strong ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, design, marketing, and sales teams.
  • Bandwidth planning and ISP coordination.
  • Familiarity with Basic Tech stacks, UX/UI design, and data analysis.
  • Understand and maintain third-party equipment, including Zaope systems and other BMS technologies.
  • Assist in planning and implementing AV and BMS-related projects, including upgrades and new installations.
  • Coordinate with vendors and external partners to procure and maintain AV and BMS equipment.
  • Install, configure, and maintain IoT devices and systems to support smart building initiatives and enhance operational efficiency.
AV System Management: Install, configure, and maintain AV equipment including projectors, video conferencing systems, digital signage, sound systems, and other multimedia devices. Ensure the proper functionality and integration of AV systems with IT networks and platforms. Assist in planning and implementing AV-related projects, including upgrades and new installations. Infrastructure Management: Oversee the maintenance, upgrading, and security of all IT systems and infrastructure. Ensure the reliability and availability of network, server, and communication systems. Project Management: Plan, execute, and manage IT projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and budget. Coordinate with other departments to understand their technology needs and provide effective solutions. Security and Compliance: Implement and maintain robust security protocols to protect the organization's data and IT assets. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards. Budgeting and Cost Control: Prepare and manage the IT budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions and expenditures. Evaluate and negotiate with vendors for hardware, software, and services. Technical Support: Provide high-level support and guidance to IT staff and end-users. Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in a timely manner. Brand Advocacy: Act as a technology ambassador for the organization, showcasing our IT capabilities and achievements. Promote the organization’s values, culture, and technology initiatives both internally and externally. Engage with stakeholders, partners, and the wider community to enhance the organization's brand reputation through technology. Roles and responsibilities: Networking: Design and build the network infrastructure projects and technology initiatives based on the customer or business requirements Perform all phases of network engineering including requirements analysis, network design, and implementation Work with Project Management/Design Teams to translate initial scope into actionable items. Develop Bill of Materials (BOM) and participate in the decision making for the acquisition of current/new technologies for the network environment.
  • Ensure availability of network services that include network connectivity, telecommunication systems, firewalls, routers, wireless, network monitoring
  • Daily tasks surrounding the ticketing system to check and resolve incidents and request tickets that are in queue.
  • Identify software and hardware lifecycle upgrade; determine upgrade path of device system software and hardware
  • Performs network upgrades and refreshes by conferring with vendors; developing, testing, evaluating, and installing enhancements
  • Ensure network devices/infrastructure is up to date on bugs or vulnerabilities.
  • A highly motivated team player with excellent communication skills
  • Able to work in an environment with customers and other support teams located remotely
  • End user asset/software procurement, hardening and maintenance.
  • Ensure timely and effective resolution of end-user issues and requests.
  • Develop and maintain support policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Monitor support ticketing systems to ensure SLAs (Service Level Agreements) are met.
  • IT procurement sources and purchases technology; vendor management maintains and optimizes supplier relationships.
  • Plan and execute AV setups by assessing needs, selecting equipment, coordinating logistics, and providing on-site support. Maintain and troubleshoot AV systems, manage vendors, and document activities.
Product:
  • Define product vision and align with company goals.
  • Develop and prioritize the product roadmap.
  • Work with engineering, design, marketing, and sales teams.
  • Analyse industry trends and gather user feedback.
  • Write requirements and oversee development.
  • Plan and execute product launches
  • Communicate plans and gather feedback from stakeholders.
