The functions of the lab include performing component-level material, coating, and adhesive selection and qualification for new products, as well as conducting failure analysis on drives that failed various designed reliability or functional tests to improve cleanliness, material, coating, and adhesive robustness. About the role - you will: Focus on GC/MS related projects including: Component extraction/outgassing method development and data collection Disc rinse analysis using GC/MS (Gas Chromatography/Mass Spectrometer) Learn how to operate and calibrate Gas Chromatography/Mass Spectrometer About you: Preferably have prior experience with GC/MS (Gas Chromatography/Mass Spectrometer) analysis Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word/PowerPoint/Excel) Knowledge in Chemistry / Materials Science fields Self-motivated, independent, and a team player with strong analytical skills Bachelor or Master's student and/or equivalent experience Your experience includes: Prior experience with GC/MS (Gas Chromatography/Mass Spectrometer) analysis Location: The Shugart site is a research and design center, easily accessible from the One-North MRT Station.
